Every year, as our nation pauses to honor the servicemen and servicewomen of the U.S. Armed Forces, the YMCA of South Florida hosts one of its most cherished traditions: the Annual Veterans Day Salute Breakfast. This event will be taking place on Friday, November 6th at 8:30 am at Bonaventure Town Center Club.
The 12th Annual Veterans Day Salute brings together 500 local veterans, community leaders, and business partners for a morning dedicated to gratitude, fellowship, and celebration.

1. Inspiring Keynote by Captain Charlie Plumb This year’s featured keynote speaker is Captain Charlie Plumb, a former U.S. Navy fighter pilot and Vietnam War POW who endured 2,103 days in captivity. Captain Charlie Plumb flew 74 combat missions as a United States Navy fighter pilot before being shot down during his 75th mission over Vietnam. His incredible story and message offer timeless lessons.
2. Uniting Community & Military Leaders This event provides a crucial space for military personnel across generations. From World War II veterans to active-duty service members this event provides an opportunity to share stories, build community, and access local support networks.
3. Supporting Military Families Year-Round
